Electro post punk, EDM and reggae getting bringing the good vibes, and one former heavy rock guitarist presenting his solo work — it’s time for the latest batch of music videos to get down and groovy with including some new cuts from Stolen, Longshendao, and Li Si Wei.

After popping up on just about everyone’s radar last year, Chengdu based electro rock outfit Stolen are finally ready to unveil their debut album. The album, entitled Loop, was recorded over six months in Taiwan and will be out August 1st on D Force Records, who have been on a tear as of late. And to wet our appetites, LeTV and D Force Records have put together the MV for ‘Hook’, which cranks the band’s green neon 1990s virtual reality aesthetic for maximal pleasure. Dig the stage design – let’s hope it joins the band of their next tour. And man that Korg – not sure how I feel about it.

Long standing premier Chinese reggae outfit Longshendao are having a good year – besides touring the world, including the recent Glastonbury Festival, the band has had the opportunity of hooking up with Amsterdam DJ team The Partysquad. Their collaboration marks the first EDM collaboration between a Chinese band and a foreign DJ, and has all the makings of a summertime hit. The team behind the single ‘I Say’ took their collaboration on the road and from the looks of the music video, it looks like all parties involved had a blast. Good vibes.

Former heavy rock guitar of AK47 and Sick Pupa, as well as a slew of other projects, Li Si Wei, has spent the past five years settling down in his hometown Kunming, the southern Yunnan city that was the foundation for the artists’ musical upbringing (and first band). Since then he’s been steadily working on his solo debut and the first taste of his comeback can be found in ‘Summer Song’. The MV is symphony of of closeups – nature, highways, goldfish – nothing substantial, but placed alongside the singer’s slow burning lyrics, I think it gets the job down. Curious to hear more from Li Si Wei.
