Upcoming: China Valley Music Festival

The China Music Valley International Music Festival set off last year pulling big names like Avril Levine, KT Tunstall, and Little Boots. Definitely some more mainstream names but talented folks nevertheless. This year they\’re continuing their streak of bringing large international names and it’s quite impressive, including the newly reformed shoegaze legends The Jesus and Mary Chain, colorful pop group Friendly Fires, and husky-voiced Joss Stone. The concerts are spread across three stages but without any overlapping, so you can catch all the performances without running around like a madman ala Strawberry and MIDI. Prices are much more steeper, but relative to a Western festival still relatively cheap – buy them over here. Here’s the day by day schedule.
