Here\’s one that got lost in the clutter of audio, picture, and footage that\’s been building up on my desktop. And a bittersweet reminder that XP is no more. One of the great things about the place was it\’s ability to act as a platform for artists, both established and on the rise, to cut their teeth and try something new. Case in point – long standing punk outfit SUBS, looking to test the waters in the deep sea of electronica before heading to MIDI\’s Electronic Festival. Or Dee. Good ol\’ Dee. One of the electronic and experimental scene\’s most spastic and beloved figures, who seems to be always on the brink of a new project. Said new project: joining Bai Tianke of The Dyne (a band I dearly miss) for some sonic mischief. Think I\’ll hereon out refer to this gig as \’that time Dee kicked over his doll out of disgust\’.
