Wow well this feels like it happened ages ago – Jingweir kicked off the Volume 2 launch of their zine in style a couple weeks back at the Blue Stream Bar. It was a blast and if you happened to be there then you’ll most likely be able to catch yourself in the video below.
Buckets of fun kids – with a little help from blues trash duo Low Bow and female indie rockers Girl Kill Girls. Check below for some of the highlights of the epic night.
When Low Bow are off their rockers, it’s straight up rock n roll bliss – an anarchist spirit which adds an element of no holds barrel hooliganism that’s downright infectious.
It may have taken some time, but Low Bow are maturing like wine – it’s gonna be interesting to see what they’ll cook in the near future.
But really, it was Girl Kill Girls, fronted by Hang on the Box singer Gia, who blew me out of the water. Lush, confident, this is music that grooves without sacrificing any of the emotion.
That bass – just kills it everytime. By the time they got to ‘Down The Water’, I was billowing over in joy. You can hear the Jingweir crew singing along. Now that’s a show.
There’s nothing like having your expectations exceeded.
