Upcoming: Shining Rainbow Female Concert Showcase

If you’re like me, there’s something about females picking up an instrument and shredding – like ranking up there in fantasy territory. Sexist, yeah, but what the hell do you expect. These chicks are going to rock the shit out of the place. Alright, besides the name, Shining Rainbow Female Concert Showcase, which is downright creepy (or likely just purely translated) – this looks to be quite the weekend treat for those in town. Two days of some of the most talented and distinctive female-led bands taking over Mako Livehouse on November 23rd and 24th for some beautiful music-making – reggae, folk, pop, rock, electronica – it’s all covered. Other than the fact that the ladies are fronting these bands – they really got nothing in common – and really, it’s this grab gag concept that I find so intriguing. And girls of course. Shuangjing is gonna get a little hotter over the next weekend. Here’s the two-day lineup…
