Ask anyone where to find punk within Beijing and the first place they’ll point you to is School Bar – place is a hive for all things punk – pogoing, mohawks, tattoos, mosh pits, femme fatales, smashed beer bottles, you know – the good things in life. Well, looks like the good ol chaps over at School and D.O.G. are quite excited for springtime, and are celebrating with a four night punk blowout. The Punk It Spring Festival will host over twenty five bands giving you all said good things in life and then some from Thursday April 10th to Sunday April 13th at School. Just about every sub-genre and band is represented in this ‘Woodstock’ of punk including local favorites, Demerit, Gum Bleed, Misandao, Discord, as well as visiting bands from Hangzhou, Tianjin, Xian, Xinxiang, and Taiyaun. Yeah, it’s quite the stacked lineup – here’s to hoping School can stock up plenty enough to make it through till Sunday. Four day passes are available for 150 RMB at School and Underground Kidz on Gulou Dong Daijie. Check out individual day prices and the full lineup below.
