Upcoming: Ditan Folk Music Festival 2012

Festival mayhem continues everyone – however, there is a more peaceful side to the madness which some of you might want to check out – especially those who overextend themselves that first day at Strawberry or MIDI and need a break from the rock n roll. That’s where the 2012 Ditan Folk Music Festival comes in! Over two days, April 31st and May 1st, some of the city’s most prolific folk bands will be joined by international acts (local and visiting) to serenade audiences in the lovely and centrally located Ditan Park (right above lama temple). The lineup is pretty hefty, so it’s a perfectly good substitute for the louder festivals dueling it out at the opposite ends of town. Here ya go…click on the names to get a taste of the music.
