Upcoming: China Drifting Festival

The cross-pollination continues forth my friends and the future is looking good – the latest venture to bridge the gap between Chinese music and European music is the China Drifting Festival – \’launched as a long-term project and with the goal of serving as a hub for the introduction of Chinese avant-garde music in Europe\’, the festival will focus on music, interdisciplinary art forms and display China’s latest work in visual arts, new media and design. The concerts will be held in Zurich, Berlin, Aarau, and Copenhagen on the West side and in Beijing and Shanghai on the East side. All shows will feature some of the scenes’ most engaging groups, including synth happy post punk trio Re-TROS, psychedelic indie rockers Duck Fight Goose, party electro rockers Pet Conspiracy, as well as 2013 Swiss band of the year, One Sentence. Supervisor. Visuals will be provided by Beijing based multimedia duo 8GG. I’m expecting quite the rager – big pat on the back to the bands making the jump over yonder.
