As if there wasn\’t enough going on already – the second annual Beijing Electronic Music Encounter (BEME) kicks off this Friday – the event thrown by Sinotronics (the love child of Metrowaves and pangbianr) stretches over two days, October 25th and 26th and hosts over 20 electronic artists, local and from aboard, across two stages, over at the Dangdai MOMA venue The Post Mountain. As stated in the press release, \’it is China’s biggest live performance event dedicated to the full range of contemporary electronic music culture, a curated cross-section of the many forms that “electronic music” can take in 2013 Beijing. It is a dialectic between headphones and PA, DJ and live, software and hardware, noise and music, dance and transfixion.\’ Damn straight – check out Thin Gaze\’s teaser video here. Last years\’ event got me digging deeper and deeper into the electronic scene, so it\’s gonna be hard for me not to check out what they have in store this year. Check out the full lineup below. Tickets are 100 RMB per day *80 RMB advance) and the music kicks off at 7:00pm.
