The Fleshtones. The original American garage punk pioneers hailing from New York City’s fervent nebula of counter culture madness in the mid 1970s
are coming to China for the first time in their 40+ year existence. Forming in 1976 and cutting their teeth in clubs such as Max’s Kansas City and CBGBs
along with peers such as The Cramps, Ramones, and Blondie, they were amongst the first to pave the way for an entire musical movement that would be felt the
world over and decades later affect bands such as the White Stripes, The Strokes, and the Black Lips who have sited them as a huge influence.
Now they’ve decided to come and say hello to the shakers of China! Hosted by Shanghai’s insatiable freak punks Round Eye (who have just
wrapped their first European tour) The Fleshtones will be making their Beijing debut on Saturday September 24th at Beijing\’s very own “CBGB’s”
School Bar. The show will be rounded out by the best drunk punks in town The Bedstars along with Motorbike Girls! Some dude will be spinning classics
from the first wave of the punk era and beyond! It’s important to note that not only are the Fleshtones one of the last bands standing of their era, they’ve maintained
the same lineup for nearly three decades! This is definitely not to be missed. Come out and shake to the American beat, baby!
