OTS: Birdstriking, Chui Wan, Gate to Otherside, The Eat (XP 16.08.2014)

The Psychoney Crew returned last month to XP with a killer show packed with talent. And while I firmly believe the Maybe Mars old guard is losing its touch, the crop of bands who have been kicking it the past few years there, not even to mention the spring of new talent joining the team – well, let’s just say I’m been mighty impressed with what I’ve seen this year.

Gate to Otherside and The Eat are the new kids on the rooster but given what I saw I expect those two to be receiving quite a bit of attention soon enough.

While The Eat’s sound palettes lay firmly in the melodic indie rock arena, and good at that they are, it’s Gate to Otherside that had the hair on my arm jumping up in excitement.
