\"grinding
Another afternoon at the XP, away from the sun. Why not? Though the two bands , Pork and Grinding Ear, aren’t exactly the best ways to relax on Sunday, them made due for the most part in letting me unwind.
\"pork
There was no way I was going to enjoy Pork’s set. It simply wasn’t their time – give me twenty sweaty beer spilling numskulls and you got yourself a show. But in the death of silence, loud, crass, tempo changes, and dark black grunge just doesn’t have the same appeal.

These are talented guys nevertheless – they know how to get the most of their guitars, manhandling them with reckless precision. But at times, all the pieces don’t fit together conhenently enough.

Ya I know, that’s kinda the point, but stil, Sunday aftenoon people.
\"grinding
Now Grinding Ear, this works on a mid-day afternoon. Though running on for over five minutes, and escaliting in sound, these always something smoothing about post-rock when done right.

Waves of noise wrapped tightly around the escalting peaks and a drum beat that leads the way. And yes, well I know it’s hard for bands of this nature to avoid having these sounds blend and bleed into one another, making something that stays too reminiscent of themselves and ost rock in general, I think Grinding Ear has a good start to making some their owns.

Back to the Thai grind in the north!!
