Nasty Wizard Recordings is probably too proud to present its latest slice of doom/white noise/free jazz destruction: the split EP between Beijing’s doom jazz cult DFA1989, and Berlin’s merchants of blast noise brilliance, Cuntroaches.

On Side A: DFA 1989 is a contemporary doom experimental collective with a somewhat permanent line up that may or may not originate from the forests of Lichtenstein, currently based in Beijing, China. DFA89 experience is not just an audible one, rather a satirical spiritual one: like a self help book filled with anecdotal rambling of Lovecraftian nightmares and anti-jazz dreamscapes. DFA89 invites you beyond, into the waiting room of oblivion.
On Side B: Berlin’s noise-punk outfit Cuntroaches welcome you to hell. Their output includes a strange amalgamation of industrial and dub-tinted sounds – “whacked out crazy punk with almost unbearable levels of reverberation,” and they have performed across Europe alongside the likes of Cocaine Piss, Puff, Lubricant, and others. Described as “ferociously warped hardcore-flecked no wave” (The Quietus), Cuntroaches self-released Demo in 2016, and EP in 2017. Their unbridled, ferocious and coarse brand of noise veers across industrial, mechanic sounds.
