Lonely Leary 孤独的利里 – Seven Winters 七个冬天
Beijing post-punk band Lonely Leary are back with a new LP in a couple of weeks and I couldn’t be more excited. Seriously, it’s ravenously good stuff that feels like the band is leveling up in some many ways – turning their music into a creed of some sort. That world-building, story-telling quality to their new album is front and center on the band’s lead track ‘Seven Winters’ which gets an acoustic rendition via this music video set against the frigid night streets of Beijing. That’s how you strike a mood.

Capturing the mundane mechanisms of work in modern life, Hakka band Jiulian Zhenren, who hail from Heyuan, Guangdong, have a bit of cheeky fun on their new single and MV ‘夜游神’.
