EASYEAST – Missing 8
Jinan based electronic producer EASYEAST returns with his latest collaboration with Beijing-based label Prajnasonic – the lavishly layered track ‘Missing 8’ which dropped yesterday along with a music video shot by Won Rimseong. Centered around the artist wondering down the cobblestone streets of his home and his ‘spatial’ understanding of the world around him, it’s full of Easter eggs and other visual tricks – an impressive tracking shot and an even richer track, showcasing once again the producer’s keen compositional skills and brisk organically-laced harmonies that above all resonates with warmth.
Radii Voices – Gouachi
The first episode of RADII Voices, the online publication’s new series of short documentaries that dive in deep on the people and scene defining China today dropped last month. For their debut, they followed Shanghai-based DJ Gouachi, a 17-year-old high school phenom who over the past couple years has become a regular on the electronic scene with a distinctive style all her own all the while battling the ideas and values of her parents.
