You know it\’s a successful night when the owner is ripping your shirt off while you try to hold back from vomiting up moonshine your friend cooked up in bumblefuck Beijing (that vomit did eventually emerge outside along Gulou Dong Daijie). Yup, Summer Blaze was exactly that – a hefty evening of bonafide fun with over two hundred and forty people in attendance, and plenty of musical goodness to go around – including ace sets from She Never Sings Our Songs, Jajatone, The Twenties, Gate to Otherside, Deadly Cradle Death, and Cassette. Don\’t think we\’ll ever be seeing these bands under the same roof again. And while I have a slew of photos I need to go through of the event, my \’man in the field\’ was on hand (and a bum knee) to capture the smiles and slowly consuming madness that was present at DDC. So here\’s a \’Stechs-Eye-View\’ of Summer Blaze! Thanks to the bands, DDC, and of course the fans in giving us a hell of a night. Looks like the fall version will indeed be happening.
