In Pictures: DMC’s Last Stand (12.09.2015)

Yup – another one bites the dust. Been a pretty bum year for the Beijing music scene, and even the outliers – the venues so far out of reach – are taking a hit. The several times I’ve been to DMC, I’ve had an amazing time. Just a wonderful place full of familiar faces looking to get down and dirty with rock and roll. And while I was stuck on a airplane last weekend, my main man Stechs was at the scene of the crime and had some very nice final words about the show and place:

Very few clubs I will weep over closing. This is one of them. Pain in the ass to get to, cant get a cab afterward, but I am seriously bummed out that this club has passed. The rumor is that it will be reborn in another location. but it can never be what this was. The CBGB of China.
