Fresh off of a European tour The GUIGUISUISUI Show returns to Beijing to unleash the second full length GGSS album, \’Write Me A Death Letter\’. To celebrate the 8-bit zombie horde are coming to DDC on September 19, 2015 with support from street punk heroes Gumbleed, grunge rockers Ba Xian Fan Dian, and stoner/doom acolytes Death Narcissist.
Write Me A Death Letter\’ is GUIGUISUISUI\’s most polished work to date: ten tracks of twisted 8-bit driven scuzz rock from the smog of Beijing, like traveling through a twisted time warp. A year in the making the album was written during and immediately recorded after a forty something date tour of China, Malaysia, Singapore,Indonesia. The recording was done at Yang Haisong’s (PK14) Psychic Kong studio immediately after ANOTHER tour (this time in Taiwan), with additional recordings wrapped up in China, Britain, Australia, and Canada.
While GUIGUISUISUI and his dark comrades King Necro and Lord Kamemameha contribute vocals, guitar, Diddly Board ( a one string skateboard guitar) and 8-bit beats programmed on a vintage Nintendo Gameboy the album features a whole cast of miscreants and grave diggers: Beijing’s drunk punk heroes Bedstars, German experimental saxophonist Klaus Bru, Xiao Zhong of Pairs and Adam McRae of Reykjavictim, vocalist Mao Dao Yue of Beijing new metal band Incisors, improv IDM overlord Noise Arcade, pipa toting experimental troubadour thruoutin, Michael Winkler of Fake Weed, and British blues veteran Trevor Gaymer.
