Ambient Night: Gooooose, Mellowpuff, Yilu (ELEVATOR 2020.10.18)
Stopped by Ambient Night at Elevator last Sunday to shake off the weekend excess and soak up some ambient soundscapes and dense DJ sets. And yeah – this is all kinds of awesome. From the special drink menu featuring scorching hot ginger & lemon tea as well as cucumber juice to the blankets sprawled out across the floor for those looking to lay back and fall into a deep coma, and even the earlier start time – the monthly event caters very much to music lovers looking to fully unwind whilst listening and engulfing yourself in some reflective and therapeutic soundscapes.
On the bill for the occasion was organizer Mellowpuff, spiritual jazz and world music affectionate Yilu, and shape-shifting electronic producer virtuoso Gooooose, who gave a live performance taking his impeccable sound design to deeper atmospheric depths.
All I know is I slept like a baby later that night – and found the perfect Sunday night hangover cure. Keep your eyes peel for Elevator’s next Ambient Night.
