Friday July 15th


Chaos Kills The Pain, Life Awaits, Sudden Strike, Stabbing, Streams of Life at School

Things get intense as School Bar as an array of up and coming heavy hitters with an affinity for hardcore and punk including the very promising Life Awaits and the energetic Chaos Kills The Pain. New blood is always welcomed – high expectations with these cats. 60 RMB

Psychedelic-laced folk singer songwriter from Hangzhou whose voice is utilized in the most hypnotic ways presents her latest beautifully composed work (seriously listen to her stuff on xiami) at the cozy 69 Café. 80 RMB

Despite recent hits, DDC continues whipping out an array of intriguing lineups – tonight finds veteran hard rockers OOC performing alongside funky blues trope Latitude-30°N, indie act Liuxingke, folk artist Wanjianguo. 60 RMB


Scary Honey, Band Intro, FME, Strong Strings at Indie Pop Livehouse

Though the name doesn’t exactly inspire confident, there’s a new venue in town (contrary to the cynicism that’s become catnip for journalists about town) and they’re ready to mingle with a showcase featuring new and familiar names including pop punk outfit Scary Honey and Mongolian string outfit Strong Strings.
